IA. I'd prefer to see video of the incident.
Black, white, pink, yellow, whatever color cop, I don't believe his version of events that just happen to cover his ass. Their track record with brown folk gives me no reason to start blindly trusting their word now.

It's an air of superiority and arrogance that I'm more-so referencing. Police in America don't have the best track record with dealing with black folks, no matter the race of the officer. I put them on the same plane as the white folk who like to hunt black folk.
...but I do live in Florida now, so perhaps I'm biased.

there are books n studies that argue there is a a "blue race".
that donning a badge comes w/ its own set of "entitlements" and feelings of superiority.

Totally ridiculous, why not shoot out the tires or in the leg? Why shoot to kill? Better yet, don't even pull the gun out. This was a shoplifter not an armed robber.

Oscar grant and trayvon didn't have squeaky clean histories themselves. so going by that logic, it was okay for them to end up dead too because they would have probably gone on to commit more crimes anyway

Not the same. Neither one of them was Committing a crime when they were murdered. Oscar grant was simply riding a train where some rowdiness occurred on new yrs eve and was subsequently targeted along with other blk and Latino males as the culprits. We all know the trayvon story.

I agree.... I have less outrage as I have less empathy..... I wouldnt be running away from an off duty officer with stolen items so I don't worry this same situation would happen to me... Now the black folk who are murdered going about minding their own business... my outrage is saved for them..... Y'all may disagree but it is what it is....
