Black ppl aren't the only ones who can have Jamaican accents. I've met plenty of Indian, Asian, Hispanic & White ppl in Jamaica with ridiculously strong accents.

This is just much ado about nothing. Some ppl just need to constantly be in a state of "I'm offended" to feel relevant.

what bothered me was when JW came in here saying "its not offensive, there are white ppl in jamaica"  That is NOT the point & in the commercial the guy says he's from minnesota.Ermm

i agree.. 
i have met and seen many ppl from the carib with accents who are not black. 

i could see it if this was something negative like those ppl being mean or rude or stupid.. but if anything its a positive imitation.

Anyway,

I was going to say, the JA Tourism Board released a statement last week saying they didn't take issue with the VW commercial.

A HUGE DIFFERENCE from how they responded to Drake's "Find Your Love" vid which glorified JA gangs, etc and was loudly denounced by the JA Tourism Board.
