I didn't notice of the problem the commercial but after hearing why people were offended I completely understand why someone would take offense

We don't all have the same accent so why would they say people of Caribbean descent be offended?
Martiniquais, Haitians, Cubans, Dominicans, etc. definitely don't have that accent.
Anyway, I'm not offended by this but I give it a heavy side eye. The commercial is just dumb to me.

true enough that all of those places are in the caribbean, but most of the time when the average joe makes a reference to west indian/caribbean, they are talking about jamaicans
