WOw this was really informative. It helped me to figure my hair out. I'd say I'm a 3c majority with 4a, silky, cottony, normal porosity. Good to know.

Reading this over again I woud say I have mostly 3c/4a, wiry hair. Hair that literally will be bone straight around the perimeter if I style it in the puff or something.

But, I am still confused about porosity. Sometimes, like if I am doing a braid out, my hair could take days on end to dry (I am talking 10+ hours). Wash n Gos dry a lot quicker around the edges, but water will literally drip drip drip all day if I don't towel/t-shirt dry before I add product.

I think I'm wiry/thready.

ALL of my hair dries quickly.

There is one part of my head that has a very thick strand, and detangles easily. It also retains length and moisture the best. I think this is the wiry part.

The rest is cottony.

I think...
