W/ lotsa oil, probably. :)
-attempts to sound brilliant- cuz since oil is a sealant, it closes the cuticle and smoothens the strands, thus the appearance of shine.

there are products that can assist with that like serums, oils etc...

AVC rinses after shampoo's or DC's to seal cuticles...

I also recommend Cassia Obovata "neutral henna"

I have yet to figure out what's going on with my hair so I have no idea what category it would fall into.  The perimeter appears to be silky 3c.  It curls up and defines easily when wet, but the rest...well idk what it's doing.

What kind of lighting should we be in when looking for sheen vs. shine?

I'm no hair guru I'm a novice but I made an attempt to create a chart for the system showing the categories visually.
I may still re-work it but it interested me enough to give it a try since Im a visual learner.
hopefully it can help others.

peace

Thanks so much Ness1

I think that I understand the sheen vs shine - in its naturally kinky state you can see someone's hair that looks nice and healthy - sheen but sometimes in its naturally kinky state you'll see someone's hair that is so shiny that the light reflects (not in big chunks but if you look at it in the sun you will see some light reflected) and the hair almost looks wet - shine

Is that correct?
