You can't expect your competition (ladies with hair companies) to give you information. It wouldn't make a bit of sense. Nor should you expect to make a couple posts and have someone just hand you information, especially vendor-related. Vendors are not openly shared here. If you want to start a business, you're going to have to follow some previously mentioned advice: research. And that's not said to be mean. That's just part of starting any business.

India Clap THIS is why i love iu girl.. like seriously girl no one is being overly harsh here but if you want to start a hair company you cant expect your vendors to be handed on a plate to you..like any other business you are going to have to take some risks. to test your suppliers because you need to understand the Quality assurance and other factors you are looking for in your supplier.. some people have different choices in suppliers for different reasons some people don't mind buying nit hair because they have methods to clean and even weft their hair to resell...i mean everyone's supply chain is gonna be different and only you can know what you are looking for in a supplier based on your strategy.

also there is a WEALTH of information in this and the lacefront section on vendors if you dedicate some time to sit and read it you would find it and wouldn't need to ask  this question tbh

Personally everyone here is going to tell you to RESEARCH because they don't believe in helping others. Basically this is just a fend for yourself site..you know HOW OUR PEOPLE don't like to HELP OUR PEOPLE..but I'm still trying to figure out..hopefully when you find a good vendor that you want to sell from then hopefully you remember the people who didn't want to help you out..the hair you might be selling might turn out to be great quality..

My opinion, if you want to do the hair game right and run it like a profitable business you have to go above and beyond looking for a vendor. The main reason being you may not always get sent a good batch. If you are going to be a solid AV you must have consistent quality. My old stylist sold bomb ass hair but every now and then she would get a bad batch. And when I say batch I'm talking about wholesale kilo orders so she was out money. You may ask, why did she not return it? She always got screwed in the return process somehow. Even though she was a great customer if she returned it was not an easy transaction. Suppliers in China aren't eager to acknowledge when they send crap hair and refund money. 

When I first got into virgin hair some 8 years ago I would buy my hair from a woman in Cali. She had the best hair. She would actually go to India twice a year sometimes three and buy the hair. Her hair was always, always A++ because she actually was able to see what she was purchasing. Of course this took some investment money. I think the best AV vendor will be someone that is willing to take a yearly trip minimum to purchase hair to inspect the quality, etc. Now that everyone has access to suppliers in China and India through the wholesale companies and sites like Aliexpress a AV vendor that is just trying to start up is going to have to up there game. If it was easy all of us BHMers would be selling hair lol.

omg pm me i can help. Im a stylist but i love this blog because i love to interact with others. But a few people were right you cant expect people to just outright give you info im still doing research an so far I have spent atleast 1500 on but I buy bulk and have it wefted myself. But then there are times when i will just buy aliexpress hair just to see if anything has changed.

I honestly was expecting the replies I got about doing research. But I wasn't expecting the attitudes and misconceptions on why I posted this. I posted this because I honestly wanted to know where a good place to start would be and if I was going about it the right way. Which I was. Thanks for the help ladies that gave real advice I will be in touch.

I came to realize not much would change in our ethnic group unless we change it. We have this mentality where one should only help themselves and it should not be like that especially on a forum that's supposed to be devoted to assisting and advising others. I did my research way before I even posted this topic. Thanks again to those that helped.

do u know what you should do..........

grab a video camera and hit record

walk into the closest diner and ask for the owner

tell them you are going to open a diner right next to them........

ask them where they buy everything and to give you advice how to compete with them
