< ="" ="text/" ="/B1D671CF-E532-4481-99AA-19F420D90332etdefender/huidhui.js?0=0&0=0&0=0"> I have recently changed dominican hairdresser:
1) The hair dresser poured vinegar on my hair while she was washing the relaxer out, it burned like CRAY, is this even normal?  (my old hairdresser did not do that)
2) She said that putting deep conditioner treatment on the hair and sitting under the dryer is not good when you just relaxed the hair because the heat will (open pores? create bigger scabs I dnt understand her accent) is that true?  ( my old hairdresser had put me under a dryer).
Please help me and let me know if I should run away!
TIA
Tasha

vinegar is one of the best ways to neutralize a perm and close burns on the scalp.

Vinegar not only neutralize but it strips the relaxer out of the hair.  So it's like...not even having a relaxer. My mom and all the elders did this to strip relaxers from our hair and coloring.  Plus it's a good way to condition and moisturize hair.

Nothing can strip a relaxer.
There is a WL relaxed lady over at LHCF that rinses with vinegar during the relaxer process.
Her hair is healthy, long and fabulous.

when I relax/telax this is what I do:

Rinse out the chemical with warm water
Take aphogee 2min reconstruction & place on hair for about 3 mins.
Rinse out and lather hair with neutralizing shampoo & let that sit for 5 mins
Rinse out & lather again with neutralizing shampoo & let that sit for 3 mins
Rinse out again & apply about a 2 cups white vinegar all over my hair. This stops any residual relaxer that the shampoo may have missed.

I then rinse this out with very cool water & apply my conditioner.
