Topic: Vendors with dark ash blond FLW? Posted: Jan 03 2013 at 12:40pm |
Hello everyone, :)
I am from Europe and I've been looking
for a full lace wig for several weeks now since I'm getting bald with
24. :/
I couldn't manage to find a vendor
that actually offers the color that fits my natural hair color best.
I am looking for vendors that offer a
dark cool / ash blonde color. Most of the wig colors are either just
brown, or redblond / light blond but I couldn't find that dark ash
tone.
To give you a picture of the color I
mean I show you some examples here:

I'm sorry for making mistakes but
English is not my mother tongue. I hope you could understand me
nevertheless.
If anyone has a hint for me where else
to look, I would be very glad. Maybe you know a vendor that also
offers that kind of color, that would be just great. Thanks in
advance. :)

Versuchen, einer meiner - Good Luck!

I tried a couple of those links and gave up, I couldn't get through. OP you can go through a vendor's color ring and see if you can find a close match. Make sure that the vendor knows that you want an ash color, no gold or strawberry blondes. Here's the link to Doubleleaf Wig's color rings. You may also want to order the vendor's color ring prior to making your purchase, since the color that appears on a monitor may be different than what you see in person. http://www.doubleleafwig.com/color_ring.htmlEditing to say I found one of the links, pretty!

Hey everyone, I'm sorry that you couldn't open my links. When I copy one URL and paste it into a new tab, for me it works fine. Thank you for your ideas so far, but I have to say that I once trusted a vendor that promised me my wig wont be too golden or too red and now it's kind of orange instead of ash blonde. Thats why I would be glad if I could find a vendor that actually possesses an ASH blonde (in his color ring).
I just found a wig and I directly fell in love but then i saw it - it is synthetic. :( I really want human hair. Just to show you the perfect color: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Heat-SAFE-Lace-Front-WIG-Realistic-ASH-Blonde-mix-Long-Layered-Barely-wavy-18-22-/370709501032?pt=US_CSA_MWA_Wigs_Extensions&hash=item5650021468 What a beautiful color.... Such a shame it's no real hair.
Well I hope this time the link works fine for everyone. Maybe someone has another idea for me. Thanks everyone!

I would say, if you are set on a very precise shade, you should do it yourself or have a professional do it. Purchase a virgin, NO color process, wig, and have it bleached then toned. That is probably the best way to get what you want and have the wig last longer than a factory colored wig. You'd want to be sure and order from a vendor that is known to have hair that is truly not color processed and that lightens easily. That's what I would do... wait. That IS what I do

PS - as you are in Europe, if you do take my advice, find a hair dresser that uses the Italian Framesi line. They make a high lift series of hair color that is amazing, it lightens back hair without using bleach (on most hair, not always Chinese hair) and without damage.

Hey thank you so much, this is a very good idea! I have thought about that already for a moment, but then I wondered how it is possible to dye a wig without dying the lace. I called a hair dresser that works with wigs and she told me the lace will always be colored too. But you sound like this doesn't have to happen? :)

Well, if one bleaches the hair the first step, it will bleach the knots a bit and it does not matter so much if you get bleach on the lace (my opinion). When I high lift directly to a red shade, or am toning after bleaching, and adding red, I use a really thick conditioner that I spread in the inside of the cap to retard the dye from sticking to the lace. If one is careful and you section the hair properly, the lace does not get stained.. much It is hard to get it perfect, but after some practice I don't have a problem with staining the lace unless I rush!
