It would be silly to try to pretend like melanin isn't the fuel that keeps the human body functioning in tip top condition.

When we step out into the sun, it recharges us like a battery because of our melanin. Those with more melanin have a great gift, and that is one of the reasons the white man hates melinated folk.

It goes beyond vanity, but since this society is SO vain, it gets discussed more. But lighter eyes are more prone to blindness because of its lack of melanin. The white man knows that in the environment that he cannot run from, he is the weakest link.

At the same time, it's utterly sad that he thinks his outer appearance is all that he is. But that's a whole other topic.

oh ok.
then the comments about white women not being preserved well are going to end too?

Of course science can be said. Shade though? That's different. The original comment was not, "melanin can prevent...." It was, "let me use this opportunity to shade light butts."

I'm not messy (on here). I'm not trying to get likes, thumbs up, accolades. I just want black people to not repeat the same mistakes for the next century. We keep saying what needs to happen, but then we don't do anything when it's right in our face.

I read a story by a black author talking about boycotting stores that didn't hire blacks in Harlem in the 1940s. He said we got what we wanted, but then we started arguing about whether light or dark skin blacks should b hired. Everything that we worked for, stopped. Why oh why in 2014 are we still doing this? It's not entertaining, especially on BLACK hair media.

I'm not snapping, I'm typing passionately.

Some ppl just got it like that *shrug*

oh she's touched her face numerous times. but she has had good work done, i will say that.
vanessa looks like she has a ruddy undertone---that's gonna make her skin look worse. but the woman doesn't look bad at all. in fact she had a TOO tight face a few years ago--i much prefer this

maybe she has, but plastic surgery can only do so much for anybody. mostly everybody in hollywood has had something done but they don't all look as good as Angela Bassett or Christie Brinkley. Some things you just can't buy

most folks here dont have money to splurge on PS, or simply dont think its that serious...and based on actual people that i see everyday, I have to go with darker folks, no matter how harsh their lifestyles, tend to look better at the same age as much lighter people. thats what i see
