I'm indifferent about it- If I have plans cool- if I don't I won't die.

While I was married for nine years, I never made a huge deal out of it; I was indifferent. We would do a special dinner at home, with cards, and flowers for me. Before we were married, he made a big deal out of it. Now I'm divorced and dating a new person. I didn't know how he felt about Vday, up until an hour ago. He forwarded me an email of a reservation he made us for dinner and asked, "Will you be my Valentine?" Sooooooo, needless to say, I am now excited about it. If he would have requested a quiet dinner at home, that would've been fine too. Because this relationship is new, I must admit that him planning a Vday date makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Its a nice holiday whether your with someone or not. My mom is always my "valentine" I have only had someone on V-day once and that was back in highschool Its not really a big deal to me nowadays. If I have someone then its cool...but if I dont then I am definitely not the single and bitter type. I HATE those kinda people

I wish we had like in Korea where tehy have like 3 VDays: the real vday on 2.14 then white day then black day... On Vday women give gifts to men. I always mix up the white & black days, but I believe white day the guy gives to the girls, and on black day all single ppl go out and party to celebrate their single-ness. :)

Traditions/rites of passage mark time and create memories.
Nothing wrong with enjoying a holiday. If you love each other everyday, what could be wrong with celebrating that love on valentines? Doing it big or going that extra mile, extra meaningful whatever that is for you?

I like any.holiday that equals me getting gifts. I wouldn't care if we didn't make a big deal about, but I'm glad he doesn't know that .
