Topic: Using Liquid Multivitamin on Hair Posted: Dec 10 2012 at 1:39pm |
|
I purchased a liquid multivitamin to put in my smoothies in the morning - but since I've seen some reviews on the Nzuri Elixir product which from what i read is basically the same thing but a lot more expensive - Do you think its okay if I were to add the liquid multivitamin to my DTs or Leave-Ins?

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'll wait for others to chime in.

Which liquid multivitamin are you using? I was just about to place an order for the Nzuri but the price has me hesitant. This would be my third bottle but interested in a cheaper alternative.

I purchased the Nature's Answer Liquid Mulitvitamin from Vitamin shoppe for 10.99 (shipping was free and I ordered Fri 12/7 and it got here today!) there's also a liquid multivitamin by the same company for hair, skin & nails but I thought i'd try this first.

@DreamWeaver- ok the ingredient list does look similar. I still need to decide between the two. The Nzuri does have a higher dose for a
couple of ingredients like the biotin.
@csungrl09- I’m a bit of a PJ and probably use too many
things. I think this has been helpful in
combination with some of the products in my regimen. I still do have setbacks every now and then
from dryness and breakage. I’m trying to
get a handle on it to increase retention.

I don't know that this would work, vitamins have to be taken orally so they can be broken down and metabolized and all that in order for the body to be able to use them. Not only that, hair is dead, so something like a vitamin probably wouldnt have an effect. I think you're better off taking it orally so not only your hair can benefit from it, but your whole body can.

It definitely won't do as much good as one would hope. Hair is dead, if you're feeding it to your scalp them maybe it'd help. It's best to take it orally.
