I always pressed my hair ever since I was about eleven years old. Then when I was about thirteen I decided I wanted to use a chemical relaxer in my head . After about one year my hair was extremely thin and damaged that I wanted to remove the perm and start over. My hair dresser told me that if I wanted to remove the perm , I would have to rinse my hair with beer and treat it with hair mayonaise. after about two months or so my hair was natural again and was growing back thicker and stronger. You dont' have to cut the perm out you can use beer and shampoo to rinse your hair but you must use the hair mayonnaise after because it reduces the breakage and adds moisture to your hair.

I have heard vinegar does the same thing.  How long do you leave the beer in and does brand matter?

It doesn't work.  It might make your hair LOOK natural but your hair is still damaged and there nothing you can do unless you make a transition to your natural hair.  Chemical changes in hair cannot be reversed. Trust me one that.

I HEARD OF ALL THESE HOME REMEDIES,BUT TRUTH TO THE MATTER IS U NEED TO BRAID UR HAIR UP TILL U GET ENOUGH NEWGROWTH TO START OVER.IF U BEEN PRESSING UR HAIR ALL THESE YEARS.U SHOULD HAVE START OFF WITH A MILD, NO LYE RELAXER(JUST FOR ME)HAVE U HEARD OF THIS RELAXER ITS FOR KIDS.THEN AFTER UR HAIR GET USE TO A RELAXER,THEN U GO UP A LYE OR STICK WITH NO LYE.ITS MORE SENSETIVE TO UR SCALP.NO  BEER OR ETC WILL TAKE OUT NO RELAXER.IT PROBABLY HELP U MANAGE UR HAIR MORE.

Please cut that previously relaxed hair off. The beer was extremely acidic and it made the cuticles on your hair stand up. Therefore, you got a rougher texture to the relaxed hair. If you don't cut it off, you will have some breakage that will travel up to your hairshaft. Once the chemical bonds in your hair are altered, you cannot reverse this process. You must cut it off and start all over (only the relaxed part)
