Hey ladies! So i want to make a 3/4 wig but I don't know how to sew and I dont feel like paying some one to do it for me. Would using a hot glue gun to glue the hair on a wig cap be sufficient? My main question is will a track randomly fall off with the oils in my hair and the super glue mixing together?

I made a u-part 3 weeks ago. I sewed the tracks onto a spandex dome cap but also used a glue gun and glued some tracks underneath around front edges of the cap and the leave out area.
The glue sticks/glue gun isn't the same as Super Glue.
 
So far, the glued tracks are fine. I washed it last week w/out any problems. I didnt soak the wig cap/base when I washed it tho, I was very gentle w/ that area.  I don't use a lot of product on my real hair and usually just plain water on my weave hair.
 
I'm pretty sure I saw this question answered in the comment section on the YouTube tutorials as well. I researched this thoroughly, watched at least 10 different YouTube tuts REPEATEDLY before deciding how to make my wig.

Thank you! I was doing mine last night, I first started sewing then I got tired and used to hot glue for about 5 rows and i can tell it stopped my cap from stretching so I went back to sewing! But thank you again :)

I tried doing the hot glue gun method with some kinky straight hair and the glue left a white residue on the hair and the cap wasnt as stretchy as I would have liked.  So I removed the tracks and sewed the hair on.

let us know how it came out. I LOVE mine! My hair grows fast and I always have a problem with the gap between my leave out and my tracks, but now ,there is no gap! And since I wear curly hair, I can spray my wig down to revive the curls on the mannequin head so I don't have to wet my leave out everyday.

did you put glue on the cap or the weft first?

Heeeeeeyyyy Purp! I put the glue of the track, not the cap. And you have to press it onto the cap immediately, because it cools quickly. I only did it for a very few tracks tho.

thanks lady! I tried this glue gun method with a few wefts and I was able to pull the tracks right off the dome cap.  I think I put glue on cap and then pressed weft into glue. I will try it your way if I attempt it again.
