It's something inherently insincere about perfection. If it's appears too good to be true, it is. That theory applies whether it's from retail to humans.
Now, my opinion doesn't necessarily apply to a modest individual. Apples and oranges. Genuine modesty is rare. I can tell the difference between a modest person and someone putting on airs out of insecurities.
If you're constantly looking down on people...chances are you're incredibly delusional. Dare I say a scam of a person. lol

Good point Wonderland & everyone else.  But I don't want to go back to the old formula of 2 old white men with at least one swoop part hairstyle between them running for president lol

that's what we're going back to. i don't have faith in seeing another Black man in my lifetime. i had to keep the newspapers of Obama's election to show my kids b/c it's a once in a lifetime event.
