it's so weird to me when people cosign so heavily things that only benefit big business... they exploit foreign workers make these phones for pennies and somehow buying it at a "discount" means were not entitled to do what we want with our property. capitalism is just evill man. got y'all all *&%^$#@Eed up. money no matter how obtained should never give big business, government, or taxpayers any say in people's personal lives or rights.

I wonder if T-Mobile knows this.
I JUST heard a T-Mobile commercial urging AT&T customers to bring in an unlocked phone to do...something or other...for less. | A lot of people are starting to buy factory unlocked phones (meaning never locked) so i think that's why.

At the end of the day consumers stopped buying locked phones in the first place we would be better off. It's a crutch.

If i pay my money foe this phone, i should be able to unlock it, break it, and even eat it if i want to. These phones cost too much. Nobody comes to my house and dictates what i can and cannot do with my caddy...

i just can't muster the energy to be up in arms over it. cell phones are a luxury and a privilege. i'm sure it sucks but at the end of the day, meh. i've had a cell phone since 2001 and i've never had to worry about it.

just curious...for those who are used to sim cards. is it possible to just pop the sim card into any phone (with a sim card slot) and use that phone??????
i know nothing about sim cards, since i have been with the V since i first had a cell phone. my current phone (droid razr max) uses one. and actually i almost threw it away because i didn't know what it was when i first got my phone in the mail. i kept trying to turn the phone on and play with it before activating it...no beuno. finally i read the quick start instructions and realized i needed to insert the sim card before i could even turn the phone on... |
No. Well, yes but all your plan features won't work like they should. You have to call your phone company and give them the information on the phone you switched the sim card to. And if I remember correctly from when I had to deal with helping customers with sim card at AT&T it can also disable the sim card sometimes if you switch it to a different phone and start using it without calling in to change the phone information on the account.
