I've been scammed by a "company" called Dollhouse Extensions (@dhextensions on IG)!

I made a purchase last Sunday of what was supposed to be a silk base closure. She told me it should arrive within 3 to 5 business days, but by Friday I saw nothing, not even a tracking number or anything on the status of my order. I sent emails and even texted the hotline several times, and no response. I knew something was fishy so I started investigating. Upon going to their instagram page to ask if there was something wrong with their system, I saw another girl spamming all her pictures labeling her company a scam only 10 minutes prior! And after a little dialogue between us, it turns out over a month ago that lady had made a $300 purchase and has received nothing! No emails, no texts back, no money back, NADA!

I go back to the IG page a while later, and sure enough, the picture where we were having the discussion was deleted. Upon seeing another innocent woman falling victim believing her hair would ship by Tuesday, I replied her warning her that it's a set up and within minutes I find myself blocked from the instagram page.

I am currently filing a dispute with Paypal and plan to take it further by requesting Paypal get involved so I can get my $100 back. This is very frustrating for me right now.

FYI: I should have known something was fishy when I couldn't find any tagged pictures on IG of people saying they use the hair and there are NO youtube reviews at all. Definite RED FLAG! SO STAY AWAY FROM THOSE, LADIES!

You have made the first step filing a dispute with paypal but! PayPal will not give you a refund past 60 days. Have someone report this company on Instragram as well I hope this was helpful.

Thanks! I don't know how to report them on IG for running scams tho, but I'll figure it out.
Thank God I only made the purchase last sunday and when I get home later this evening, I'll make the claim so PayPal can get involved and refund me my money.

Hi everyone! I'm a little new here so please excuse any ignorance. I've been wearing weaves for about 3 years now. I haven't really had a style that I've completely liked yet so I'm trying to figure out what I want to do for my next one so I was wondering if ya'll wouldn't mind me asking some questions.
I just want to start off by mentioning that I am pretty busy and also pretty lazy when it comes to my hair haha. How lazy you ask? Well lets just say right now I am wearing a weave that I've had for about 5 months and I havent touched it since the dawn of mankind lol. I know it takes alot of time to take care of weaves, but I honestly don't have alot of time during the day to take care of my weave or even my natural hair. I am a college student involved in so many ECs including marching band so the time I have is either geared towards school, fitness, or ECs. With that being said though:
1.) what is the best way to take care of your weave and natural hair without spending to much time on it? - i.e. What do you do to keep it fresh and rejuvenated throughout the months. My main issue is that fact that my hair gets really nappy really quick due to the fact that I constantly workout and march around outside in the 100 degree weather frequently. I watched this youtube video about how you can restore your weave by using virgin olive oil and it looked very interesting and helpful, can anyone back this up? I also heard that using sea breeze after you workout on your hair would help it smell less like a dead rodent. haha IS there anything else ya'll use to take care of your hair that does not require alot of time but still keeps it silky and awesome?
2.) How do you wash your hair? - for some strange reason I cannot get this "washing of my weave thing" right because everytime I try to wash it, it turns out extremely matted and worse than before. So ladies, how do you wash your hair? Also how often do you wash your hair? Like I said - I have no time so I was thinking every 2-3 weeks would be fine and I can just find other ways to keep it fresh during that period of time. Sound good?
3.) Front Lace Closure: I am pretty ignorant on this subject because I have never used one, but they look very stylish and convenient. What I would like though is a lace closure with baby that is sewed in and still looked realistic. I would also like it with full bangs with direction (if that makes any sense at all haha). I unfortunately have a GINORMOUS head and even worse on top of that a pretty huge forehead (not lying - its pretty big haha) so bangs are a must. But I would like to be able to pull my hair back for rehearsals and workouts without it being obvious that I am wearing a weave. Is this a feasible idea or something that's just not going to work at all? I honestly hate leave out hair because I just cannot take care of it myself, my hair is a mess and i just don't have time to take care of it so no leave out.
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions! I would greatly appreciate any other advice ya'll have for me. If ya'll have any tips on hair lengths and styles for people with the head size of the moon too that would be great to hear as well! Thanks Smile

Quick question. Not sure if its been asked;

Is it unrealistic to think I can have full sow in with a swoop bang look realistic. I cannot do the whole closure thing or leave my hair out but I don't want to have that fake invisible part thing. I was thinking of maybe doing the flip over method or using some kinda clip/press on hair?

HELP!

i'm not new to weaves but i'm not as experienced as most but i can try to help you out. I'm also pretty lazy when it comes to my weaves and i'm also a busy college student so i understand where you are coming from but from what i have been reading on this site, it is NOT RECOMMENDED that you leave your weaves in for 5 months at a time without seeking proper professional care for your hair underneath. So i usually leave mine in for 2 months or 3 tops! I try to oil my scalp at least once a week with a light weight oil like coconut oil and I wash every two weeks or sooner depending on if i put any products on my weave that week or if I just want to change styles. I usually co wash or wash with a diluted shampoo so that i don't get much buildup on my scalp. I also wash on a day where i won't be doing much working or leaving my house, like a saturday or sunday after church. That way once i wash i can either air dry my weave and my braids underneath or i can sit under a hooded dryer to dry my braids faster. As for the lace closure, idk if you self install or if you get yours professionally done. I just got a lace closure prof installed for the first time and I actually don't like the way that the stylist did but I spent my hard earned $$ on it so I'm going to keep it in until at least mid aug and then probably take it out and re-install myself. but it just depends on how the closure is installed and also how you wear it. I hope some of that helps you. If you have anymore questions let me know. I'll try my best to answer Big smile

Alright so I need help finding this style...

I was considering The Virgin Hair Fantasy virgin curly hair but there are mixed views and that makes me nervous especially since the hair is pricey. Are there any companies you guys suggest? I'm looking to get 3 bundles, 18 - 20 inches each, for no more than $350 (less would be great). There are just so many companies and brands and no matter how many post I go through on here it isn't clearing anything up for me. Please help, thank you.

try impressive hair, either their samba or coco curl might get you what you're looking for. Her prices for an 18 or 20 in are in your range for 3 bundles and her reviews and customer service are good. you order by emailing her. check other bhm posts for pictures of her hair but i've only seen good things. I'm hoping to place an order with her next month. LOL
