yes it does. you don't always have to explain things, and there is just this feeling w/ black friends that u don't get w/ white ones.

are you part of a sorority? if you are, maybe finding some women that are can help you out

i will not be around too many of my coworkers on a daily basis,

wow, it was that bad huh.LOL

you could also try plentyoffish. there you can at least filter it out for black men. my friend's brother was on it and he said he met a few nice ladies.

Well, it's kind of an interesting story. Mind you, this was last fall and I no longer write the blog. I wasn't writing it about not finding the right guy per se, I was writing about my Match.com dates. I picked Match specifically because it's a paid subscription service; I figured the quality would be better than say, plentyoffish. 

It was fun for awhile - I met a lot of entertaining, very eccentric men; went to some cool restaurants, concerts, galleries, whatever..

I got stuck when I found a guy I reeeeeeally liked. He didn't take to the whole "writing a blog" thingConfused
He was a lawyer and he was pissed. 

The element of deception kind of made him mad, but get it, I would be too. Anyway...

What were you doing that was deceptive?  Where you only dating for the blog's sake?  I thought the whole purpose was to meet new ppl? I'm confused.

Back to the orginal issue--go to a church and get involved if you are religious

Go to your sorority's monthly meetings if you are/were greek

go to your professional organization meetings if they are in your area

plenty of places to meet new folks--black folks--if you really try.

Yes, I was doing it for the sake of the blog AND to meet new people. We had different expectations that weren't fully expressed when we started seeing each other. And he looked like Napoleon Dynamite. But that's neither here nor there, because I got over that. Kind of. Point is, he was pissed.
