Being around Black folks is not enough
I click with certain type of people, regardless of race
and tbh, it's harder for me to find those types within the Black group
Do things that interest you. That's more important: if you pick "Black" friends that you share commonalities and interests with rather than just a skin color

I just moved to Minneapolis maybe 8 months ago after I got a accepted to grad school and a job transfer. I really like the atmosphere. The cold sucks, but I'm originally from Iowa so I'm like, "Eh. Whatever." Beside that, unless I got a dope ass job offer somewhere else, it's not going to happen. Technically, I have no obligations - no kids etc. but moving is draining. Ain't nobody got time for that  I guess I just have to make due.
