Pretty much. I'm not sure how to go about finding some. Not that race really matters, but I want to diversify my group of friends.
I almost did the "meetup" thing - it was a natural hair group, but I decided not to go because it's too intimidating...
I should've just gone.
I have issues.
I went with my cousin last year to a Halloween party - some of the women there were kind of hood - which is fine. They were funny as hell, but I felt like I wouldn't really fit in with them. I didn't want to look like an "Uncle Tom". Some of the stuff they were talking about, I've never heard of, or couldn't relate to.

I'm certainly not trying to sound siddity - if anything, I'm country as hell.
I lurk on here {and go to the salon} to get my daily dose of "blackness" - whatever that means.
It's cool. I enjoy it. You guys crack me up: I'm over her squirtin' snot juice out of my nose sometimes.
Does anybody feel what I'm saying? Other than Chicago, the Midwest isn't exactly the most diverse place. It's easier said than done to just pack up and dip

some place out east...
