I feel like I typed this already but I can't find it: Her dad must not be in the picture for alladis to go down. If I wasn't African, I wouldn't want to marry an African unless his parents were dead or they were unable to get a green card to come visit us in America.  I would have no part of that.

Yes there are, are its mostly bullshyt.  It meant something like 100 years ago, but now its just a ceremonial thing for the most part.  In my country only like 2 or 3 of them from my tribe have any real power or wealth.  Politicians are really the ballers.

I went to high school with one. She had money though, because her parents also happened to be corrupt politicians.
