I recently bough a U-part wig that I'm going to attach a picture of. My hair is very thin in the top and I want as little leave out as possible. I haven't received the wig yet but I was wondering by looking at it if it appears that the width of the part with be adjustable.

Its doable.  My suggestion to you would be to thin out the wig in the u-part area so that the density would look natural and gradual.
