WHy do you think your twists are unraveling?? Does this just happen after you've had them in for a while? If so, this is normal. :(

Here is one picture from about 2 months ago when I had larger twists. The ones I have in now are much smaller. Hopefully I will take some pics in the next few days

Nope. By day two I have to retwist.  I only put them in now overnight to do a twistout.  I do the twirl and twist method, that's the only way I know how to twist now.  I wonder if that's it.

Your twists look GREAT!

Thanks for the compliments! Whenever I do the twirl and twist method my twist unravel also. I know this works for some people but it does NOT work for me lol. U also may be doing your twist too large for them to stay in. Are you doing them on wet or dry hair?

Me too.  I look like a little wet rat because I have fine hair and my mini-twists look so limp and pitiful.

I HATE this!  I have fine hair too!  What are some techniques to help fine haired girls have full thick twists?  Anyone?

The only trick I know is at night I twist my mini twists into a few flat twists and then in the morning unroll the flat twist to get that wavy/crinkly/curly look which gives more volume.

But be careful not to do the flat twists too tight because it squishes the twists and makes them seem thinner.  You wants fluff and crinkle Wink

You know, that's a good idea.  Last time I had mini-twists when I took them down I didn't use anything to untwist and I had a bunch of tangles and what not.

I'm gonna make sure I use some oil next time I untwist (I'm hoping to get two weeks out of these twists) and see if that helps.
