Hello- i posted this earlier in the weave section but thought i would give it a shot over here with the color experts too, any insight would be helpful.

TIA!!

okay ladies- i tried to color my indianhairstore wavy to curly yesterday.

(sorry for no pics)

the good news- i washed/plunked afterwards and this morning the hair is still lookin good curls bounced right back and its even softer than it was before. the curls actually look less uniformed now too Clap

the bad news- this hair BARELY changed color.Cry  it did come down to a dark brown (maybe like a 2) but i the color i used was aimed at getting a
4/33 and a 30!

i used Feria
LOreal%20Feria%20Hair%20Color%20-%2058%20Bronze%20Shimmer%20%28Medium%20Golden%20Brown%29%20-%201%20Each

and garnier

Garnier%20Nutrisse%20Nourishing%20Color%20Cream%20Permanent%20Haircolor%20Medium%20Golden%20Blonde%2083

both of which are permanent dyes that contain hydrogen peroxide (which i thought served as a bleaching agent) they both also had dark hair on the side of the box and showed the color it would turn- it came NOWHERE near the pic

i even left it on about 25 minutes logner than it said, but was scared to keep going for fear of messing it up. i really like this hair :)

why didn't the hair get any lighter????

thoughts anyone?

idk... im a newbie to color, but i thought as long as the box said it could color a dark brown hair lighter it would work. i figured it must have had some kinda bleaching agent in it... it is lighter... but not much Ermm

I use Loreal Hi Color for dark hair, which you can get at Sally's. It is a tube and then you mix it with 30 developer. It worked pretty well for me. The hair was a dark brown and I use a light Auburn.

Hey, I'm going to be doing something very similar. Do you happen to have any pics of you hair color?

^^If you deep conditioned your hair after the 1st color you tried you can proceed with the next color process. If not, deep condition it and then do it again. Personally to acheive color I use powder bleach and a 30 or 40 volume developer. Works EVERY time and doesn't take a long time at all..

I really want to color my Laniks VC x^2 but I am so scared that I am going to damage it. Will coloring the hair damage the curl pattern?

since posting this i colored it again using the ion hi lift and a 30 developer. it got lighter, but not to the color i want. i recently got a third pack of hair because i want the install to be really full and i will be bleaching this hair per the instructions asianiis gave.... i'm hoping the blend of colors will work.

03- it didnt change the curl pattern even a little bit. i was worried about that too. i have indianhairstore.com virgin wavy-curly.
