Hi Y'all. I'm new. Just wanted to share this product with you that my family has used.

There is this product that has been around since the 19th century. It is called "Tricofero de Barry" or "Barry's Tricopherous for the Hair." This is what it looks like:

When I was about 2, my Mum was wondering why my bald little head was still mostly bald, considering that I come from a family with long healthy hair. She tried this and in a few months my hair started growing and became very very full and long over the course of a year. I am not kidding. Last year my hair fell out (in one spot too), so I started using this again and my hair grew back! Considering that I had no hair in that area for quite some while, when I didn't know what to do about it. After I started using this every night, it started to grow back. So I do believe why mum attributes this with kickstarting some hair growth with bald little two year old me. You may be thinking that maybe my hair grows faster than others, but I have noticed that when I use this on all of my hair, it grows a lot faster than usual

Beware though, some may find the smell not so pleasant. I've grown accustomed to it. It also has alcohol in it which my aunt couldn't understand why my mum and grandmum could put that in my hair. I'm sure she was kicking herself a few months later.

You can probably find it in the ethnic product aile at your pharmacy or grocery store, especially if there are hispanic items (oils, etc.) Depends where you live though. I did find it online for $2.50.

and if you search google for "tricopherous" you'll find some webshops with it although one priced it at $7! The most you should ever pay for it is maybe $3 without shipping.

What is it? Is it an oil or ointment?  How do the instructions say to use it?

It's hair tonic. It doesn't really have oil in it. I don't think there are directions on it. It's pretty self explanatory. I usually put it in every night.

How often do you wash your hair while using this?

I bought it and it is like some purple substance.  My hair became dry I guess that is the alcohol in it.  I used it on my sister scalp and her scalp got really flaky within a 30 minutes and she just got her hair braided so I felt really bad.

I am just trying to find good hair products that works well with my hair and scalp.

obviously I DID say it has alcohol in it. BUt idk why it made your hair dry, and the "purple substance" is a tonic. her scalp is flaky because she just got her hair braided.
