^^^  I do.  To me that argument is like telling all the reasons why you can't go back to school.  The environment is hostile, don't have funding, work schedule won't allow etc.  Yes it will be hard.  Yes it will be harder for you as a POC than a white person.  Yes you may have to stay down until you come up but the end result will make things better for YOU.

Voting may be rigged six ways from Sunday, but until we're all doing it, how do we prove it?  We have no voice in politics but until we have candidates and high percentages of black voters, what do we say then?

Our biggest issue in my opinion is our hopelessness.  We come off as apathetic because we no longer believe things are ever going to be any better for us.  We take what little we can get individually rather than demanding collectively.  Just my opinion though.

I wholeheartedly agree with the article.  I have encountered racism in two major arenas in my life; when I was poor and they didn't want me around (this was largely solved by the segregation of the classes) and when I came up and am now challenged.  They just didn't want to see me before but now they want to devalue my ideas, question my expertise, undermine my authority.  I feel this article so much.

They turned military and for all intents and purposes said we will have another civil war if it means keeping you nickers in your place.

thats why it kills me when i hear blacks talk as if we just act right white folks will love us.  they dont want any form of equality with black people. they just want their slaves back.  its that or be damned.

I completely agree with this article. Sadly, a lot of us have become too distracted to see it for what it truly is.
