For POC I really think your attitude of "colorblindness" comes from youparents. Im an older millenial I grew up in the suburbs but my parents grew up in post riot Detroit so they made sureee knew how white ppl are.

It amazes me how some ppl, esp Black ppl my age can just brush off racism as something "back then".

It esp pisses me off that if u call ppl out in their sh*t, you're the racist. But that's a whole other thread lol

IA. Go public education.Dead

Sad thing is that all of the discrimination (race, gender, orientation, age, class, etc) is right in front of them but they refuse to see it and their dumb arse parents don't teach them about it.

Not surprised. After all:

Also this. I blame molly coddling parents and I see them daily. Spoon feeding kids cliche answers without context, not really answering the questions and making all the excuses as why avoiding an uncomfortable truth is the right/better thing to do.

White people are racist as hell.... every single last generation

The new generation will be quick to feel entitled to your culture, your creations, your experience of oppression and have the nerve to turn around and call you racist

Most of the ones who think that way are the ones who grew up in the suburbs, in diverse environments most likely raised by parents who assimilated like hell to get them into certain neighborhoods because they wanted the american dream. What they failed to realize is that, yes you have more opportunities, but never think you are on equal footing.  People can talk that colorblindness sh*t but when something goes missing yo black ass the first to be looked at

Minority Millennials will wake the fucc up and see that "Colorblindness" didn't work in 1955 and ain't gonna work now. Different century, same sh*t.
