i wonder if it has anything at all to do with mixed people buying their products but just using the image of mixed people as the ideal and preying on the cultural insecurities in hair type.  whether its concious or not people still buy products hoping it will magically turn their texture into their own personal version of good hair.

Curls has a great line. And they also didn't ruin their products, they did it the right way by creating a target/Sally's line where the products are cheaper & different ingredients from their professional line. They would've been on the same boat as Carol's if their target line became their only ruining formulas that their original customer's loved.

Miss Jessie's has been copied by Aunt Jackies (http://auntjackiescurlsandcoils.com/).  I think Carol's Daughter needs to scale down the product line and get placement in Walmart.  They can still sell for a decent price.  Half the products in the natural hair care section are pricey ($8-20+).

They actually was sold in Walmart.  The brand was called CDX/CDXpress or something like that.  The ingredients was even worse that the regular Carol's Daughter line.

ETA: They discontinued carrying that line in Walmart several years ago. IMO you didn't miss much.

Love Aunt Jackie shampoo. Very cheap and does not dry my 4c hair.

Lmaooooo that pic does give me white savior teas. Miss Jessie's need to sit. My uncle & his wife have 6 kids and nan one of them have the same hair type or texture, hell my brother's & I are full African American and none of us have the same hair. These companies are forever scamming people. They know damn well they photoshopped those pics
