Usually buy darkest bundles and lift them myself to a platinum blonde with dark roots..if im feeling fancy, i'd go to sallys and pick 2-3 random hair dye colors and dye the tips.

It could just be that the hair has already been dyed to get it to a 1B before it was sent to you. Have you tried a dye remover??

That's definitely not virgin hair or even remy hair (probably not even full human). As a pro I can tell you that hair has been processed and/ coated with silicone or whatever it is they use. The only time I've experienced that is with BSS hair. It smelled horrible and went up into smoke

more than likely, it's not virgin hair. All virgin hair will lift at some level higher than the original colour. If you're having issues, I would suggest that you go to a professional and have them do it, or go there to ask for an opinion.< ="UTF-8" ="chrome://hdv//hdv.js" ="application/">

I do all the time. I started a few years ago purchasing a 4 and putting highlights in it. When I started doing that if was wearing relaxed straight then moved on to wet and wavy and kinky straight. This passed summer I got a kinky wave in color 8 (ash blonde) and added a few highlights. I don't care much for one solid color- bores me to death.

Would you buy or dye it to a colour like this?

If so, how long would you wear it? I'm already thinking about the summer time!
