Why and when did this trend of wearing concealer, highlight, orange color corrector, Ben Nye banana powder and shimmer become so popular that if you're not wearing all of it, you "don't wear makeup"?  I have enough trouble putting on mascara before I'm screaming "I'm late!  Get out of my way!!!" as I run out the door.

Seriously, who has that kind of time?

LOL, right?! half the time i'm driving while I do it.

10-15 for work/regular day.  This is with basic or no eyeshadow...  If i'm getting fancy, I like to take my time, probably about 20-30 minutes. However, if it's a special occasion, I can take an hour.. sipping wine, youtube in the background for inspiration, trying new combos, etc.  That's my "me time" lol

I keep it under 5 minutes for daily routine. If I am doing something elaborate, probably around 30 minutes.

I'm still watching those Youtube videos on makeup, trying to recreate some of those looks.  I usually end up looking like a drag queen.  There's nothing wrong with drag queens; I knew a few when I was in college (they have since moved to other states).  But, I have to look professional for work and seven different eye shadow colors doesn't work for me.  Off to look for a Youtube makeup video that isn't done by a high school student...

I make it a point to keep it under 20 minutes in the morning.  If I'm going out, though, it can take me a  good hour or so.  Not that it has to take that long, but if I have more time to spend on it, I'm going to make sure everything is perfect.

Allow ample time to work on your skin every morning. 10 minutes is good enough.
