Interesting thread. I lost a lot of fulness and next time I see my dr I plan on asking what he recommends for thickening my hair. For now ima try some of these tips.

S&f my new products have Shea butter in it and they seem to be thickening my hair strands a bit but it could also be the keratin.

Thanks for replying!
I wonder if the OP benefited from using a shea butter creme on her hair, but she hasn't logged on in a while...

I've had to tweak my products & ingredients because of similar issues.  The fusing, pasting, sticking problem was madness!!

What products and an ingredients did you use  and how did you tweak them? And did you manage to increase thickness??

I'd also like to know too. It seems that anything that thickens  / strengthens hair makes my protein sensitive, Type 4, fine hair dry. hard & crispy - and in extreme cases causes breakage.

So far, I've tried:
Aphogee 2 step Pinch Pinch Pinch: this was before I was natural

UBH conditioner (first ingredient Aloe Vera) Ermm: result, after 2 weeks (DC'ed once a week): hard, dry hair, which began to fuse together

Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Pimento Oil
(also contains Castor, Grape, Peppermint & Eucalypus oils) - used it on my temples initially - saw considerable improvement. Started using it all over my scalp and hair. Result: dry, hard, crispy hair and because I think because I began to massage too enthusiastically my temples began to thin out again. Extreme fusing of hair. It was taking nearly 2 hours to unbraid six plaits. Hair started to look ashy grey, coils shrank, naps disappeared, sheen disappeared.

Vatika Coconut oil with Amla - not sure about this because I began using it 2 weeks ago, whilst I was using the UBH. I used it in an overnight prepoo mix once a week. I really liked how strong my strands felt when I washed my hair, before DC'ing. I may try it again without any other protein if my hair ever goes back to normal.

BUMP
