I sewed my lace wig down once.  I was spending two weeks out of town at a special school program and saying in a dorm where I had to share a bathroom.  I thought I had to share a room, but that wasn't the case.  I had my sister sew it down and it stayed down very well.  I had adhesive with me just in case, but never ended up using it.

It can work, but I only did it for two weeks.

I also have sewed on my lace wig for a week cruise and it does work but to me it makes your wig last less long. I'm talking about syn wigs, that would last me 3 months taking it off every night does not last as long when I have it sewn on.

here is my random thought for the day..bantu twists-LOVE THEM..for the deep wavy look I part my hair down the center and make two bantu braids..i do NOT split and then twist..just twist one side and then the other and roll into a knot ..I twist from the center of my part..and it looks great..i wet my hair with cowboy magic ( or whatever you need to dampen hair) let me know if it works for you as the curls hold for days :)

And whatever happened to class?  Don't ask me if that's my real hair.  Did I ask if those were your real teeth?  You don't care that I have hereditary alopecia in the front, so stop asking me about my hair.  Just had to get that out.

yup. I took a break from remy lace wigs for a year (was wearing whole lace synthetics) and my apps are not as consistent. Still better than what I see out here but not as good as what I know I can do.

It's sad that in the 2015 that folks are still doing that...and for the same reasons. It's like yeah...no.

da_drow I tried it once. I did it for a long weekend trip. It looked OK, but I like being able to take it off at night

And update so far one of the side combs the sewing is coming off of on side, so I need to fix that because the comb doesn't really work for that side...

I think in this picture there's concealer on the lace, so I need to wash that off

And the other thing the front lace isn't laying down like tight and snug like it was when I first got it...

do not be afraid to use adhesive or a tape at the demarcation line to diminish that separation...and also use a dark pencil at the line to blend it in better..it looks good now but if you use the dark pencil it will be less noticeable...jmo
