Nope, Printer Ink, I meant Afro Curly. It is not Kinky curly with little spirals. It is afro curly with more waves then curls. I am too lazy to post a pic. Just do a google search and you will see. I am not afraid of long wigs. My last wig was a kinky straight and it was 22 inches. It is high quality hair. I have not had to use any product on it yet (though I am sure I will at some point). I have seen people take a kinky curly wig out of the box and have to wash it immediately and throw eco styler in it. This hair came out the bag beautiful with no product. It looks kinky but it feels silky. It is not the brillo pad type hair of which you speak :)
Okay, well if it's Afro Curly (Afro being the key word here) then like I said it's more like a true 4c because if I grew out my natural hair .. I would have the same Afro that I wore in 1971! hee hee! I don't know what you mean by 'waves' though because Afro hair does not have waves - though Kinky curly has waves in it.
This hair feels silky because it is processed from either Chinese or Indian hair but this will not last long. But if the hair is anywhere in the range of Afro - it will need an even heavier Product .. or it will dry out, shed and die. I have been wearing lace units for almost 6 years and have been exclusively wearing the kinky curly units for the last 5 months so I have had to adjust my maintenance routine .... considerably to keep this hair alive and healthy looking. But it looks great - best look I ever wore!
I have pics of both below .. there is not that much of a distinction in terms of maintance when you are dealing with hair that has been processed to this level though.
I have the Kinky Curly below but if I play with it enough it will look a lot like the bottom Afro Curly pic. The difference is that once I wash it .. the original kinky curly curl pattern comes back. I think maybe different vendors coin the phrase kinky/curl/afro in different ways.
I think the bottom one more like your Afro Curly - I don't know - but that hair looks like afro hair.
Bottom line .. this kind of hair needs daily moisture.
