For all the Believer turned Agnostics and Athiests

I don't feel comfortable with saying I was ever a "believer." (Besides that it makes me think of the song.) As a kid, I was incapable of making an informed decision. I could have been Jewish or Hindu if I knew what they were about.
As I got older I still considered myself Christian, specifically Catholic. However, I am more skeptical. It's just the scientist in me. I can't just go around believing things all willy nilly. I can't trust a book that's so ancient and been through so many hands. I'd say I'm agnostic. But when I think of God, I think of the Christian deity.
tl;dr: I need to see the receipts!

They just don't say anything because they don't want to be ostracized. They continue to go for tradition, family and friend fellowship, and music. that's true.. a cpl here already said they go to church for the music. I just couldn't imagine them tithing, doing communion etc.. but who knows.. There are plenty of ppl who claim to believe in God but go against everything he preaches, so maybe deep in their hearts they really don't believe....
