I don't mind the discussions, but I applaud your passion OP. I am happy being dark though. I love my color, but all colors are beautiful. I've seriously never found a person ugly due to pigmentation. |
totally. there has to be something wrong with you if you judge beauty on skin tone. beauty is you either have it or you don't. like your face shape, eyes, lips and hair. your skin tone ain't saving sh*t.
it's mostly forum. rl people dn't talk like this.

only clicked on the thread because or the irony.
but anyway. i like discussing skin color, and race, celebs, reality tv, all that. and when i'm tired of discussing those things i move on to other threads.
i don't see a problem. i work in a stressful fast paced technical field, listen to npr during my commute to wind down, and come home and indulge myself in ratchetness for an hour or so each evening. sue me.
my pet peeve are the "nobody wants you, broke, fat, black woman" types of threads. one thing i wont do though, is make a thread bringing more attention to those threads. i feel guilty even referencing it in this post.

OP, you are a collective mess all by yourself. Aren't you one of the main people who start ls/ds topics in the first place? LOL

I think there's also a huge difference between acknowledging it and obsessing over it. A lot of ppl in the black community obsess over ls/ds to the point that many assume things (i.e. all light skin ppl are stuck up/think they're better; everyone hates dark skin) and project those assumptions/insecurities onto others. |
