I know y'all see them kids on maury who be weight 100 lbs at the age of 5 eatin buckets of chicken & drinkin dinner gravy because their parents let them. Do you all feel this is a form of neglect and abuse?

I don't like seeing overweight kids even if they aren't obese.  I don't think they should be jailed, but they should be informed and made to take classes on healthy lifestyle and eating.

I ask because on the extreme reverse, if a child was being malnourished due to their parents choices, they'd be taken away. To some people they feel its one in the same.

No, I don't think they should be thrown in jail. They should be forced to have a nutritionist and take health classes.

It's abuse and neglect and they should be treated the same way as parents who starve their kids.

If your 4 year old is 120lbs and has type 2 diabetes and still crawls because walking hurts their poor knees, there is a problem.

Yes unless they are teens because it becomes almost impossible to stop them from buying or getting to the wrong foods at that age.
