I just started doing this yesterday. I also heard you should go up
toward the heart. I dry brushed before I got in the shower and then I
used the brush to scrub my skin in the shower as well. Does anyone know
if it helps with discoloration. My back is like 2 or 3 shades darker
than the rest of my body.

jolie, i swearrrr by this towel. You can use it wet or dry. It's hard to get used to at first, then you feel like you can't live without it when you try to go back to washcloths etc. Everyone tells me how soft and smooth I look or feel...just dont use it on your hoo hoo if you get it. You can search to get a better price.

Some people do little brush strokes, others do circular. Me? I do a mixture of both and yes, you've always got to go in the direction of the heart! |
What brush do you use? I'm looking for something that is not too stiff |
Always use a natural bristle brush that isn't stiff! You should be dry brushing with a brush that is gentle on your skin. We're trying to exfoliate the skin, not scratch and cut it. I like to use body brushes. Like this! When I first began dry brushing, I actually used those nail brush/buffers since the fibers weren't rough. I've graduated.

i just use my dry scrubby gloves in a circular motion. the brush seemed awkward to me. but i'm probably not getting the exact same effect. my skin is super soft tho...
