So the girl I was suppose to meet new years eve cancelled on me but I ended up meeting up with her tonight.

It was a good meeting. She looked good in person and she laughed at all my jokes.. even the ones that I was un sure of. Tapping me on my arms or my knee when something was funny and/or she was explaining something to me.

I also caught her staring a few times

We grabbed a bite, ate it and I paid for the dinner. BUT. She seriously offered .. 

So Im like ... "must be something wrong with her".. maybe I'm tripping because I'm used to the BHM (( Im entitled to his pockets even though I dont know him )) views ..

shes a couple years older than me to.

I don't think it's bad to meet someone you just met online.  I met a guy online, we chatted online for about a month then I gave him my #.  Then we talked for a few weeks (maybe 2-3) then met out in public.  He was not who he claimed to be.  He said he was single - he was not, he was legally separated.  He looked absolutely nothing like his profile pics, not even close.   

I actually started getting feelings for this guy (and I am tough), but after feeling deceited I just couldn't do it.  Regardless of how soon or later we met, didn't matter.

If she met him at a grocery store and he invited her to dinner or a date the next night would be fine also.  So long as they are in public.

Now if he is trying to meet at his/her house immediately is an issue.  Big issue!!!!  Big NO-NO!!!! :)

I see no reason to wait if there is a connection and you're in a public place go for it.

I met one of my closest friends online back in '99 (he lived a stone's throw from me). I think I met him after a few months.

There's a guy I met online who I met in person after over a year but he lived in the States (Jamaican parents). We're still in touch and have met up several times over the years both here and in the States.

My friend met her husband online (I hope she divorces his pathetic ass).

Kingston is so small that it's different here, you'll almost certainly know someone who knows the person. I don't think there's a set time period, just be smart and safe about it.

hmm...lets see. i met a guy online late august (this was like 6 years ago) we were calling 2 weeks later if that long...didnt meet him until late dec.
