I've been taking Hairfinity for about a month now. I have also been taking a multivitamin daily as well as biotin and 1000mg of MSM. I'm proud of myself because I am actually remembering to take them everyday.

ive been taking the Puritan's Pride HSN vitamin but i refuse to take or do anything 3 times a day.  i take one along with my other supplements.  i cant attest to it doing anything for hair growth but my nails are growing like mad. the bottle only contains 60 pills, so its a 10 day supply...yeah im not the one.  my mind wont even compute paying for 10 day supply, it will last a full 60LOL

@modelbusiness Thanks for the suggestion. I actually just started making my own sulfur growth mixture from a 10% sulfur ointment and some other stuff. A lot of people complain about the smell of sulfur but I don't find it as strong and I actually like it. Reminds me of Guy Fawkes night and New Years Eve. I thought it was just my nose that couldn't smell it but after I applied it on my scalp and shook my head around I asked my brother if he could smell it but he said no. He was like 2 feet away from me. Maybe our sulfur here is just weaker.

Yikes! These horror stories are freaking me out. I'm already acne prone but I've never had cystic acne. I already take a B-complex but I don't think it has biotin. It's not listed on the composition. I hope the B-complex will counteract any bad effects. I might just start with a smaller dose than I wanted to try. Despite the horror stories I think I'll give it a shot but I'll be real careful. If I do get bad acne, it'll give me a chance to test out this sulfur ointment I get from my pharmacy. I don't have any dates or boyfriends to worry about my face for now. No guts no glory!!! Lol.

If you can't find a good hair/skin/nail vitamin, consider taking MSM and Biotin together. Whenever I stopped taking Nioxin or Hairfinity, I ended up just switching to MSM + Biotin. As long as you drink enough water, you shouldn't really have any issues with biotin.

In terms of hair growth, biotin and MSM are usually the biggest factors for a HSN vitamin. I know with Nioxin the Biotin was nearly 300mcg I believe but no MSM so I had to suppliment MSM when I took Nioxin.

Hairfinity tends to have everything and a HUGE dose of biotin (so def drink more water when taking HF) which is part of the reason IMO that so many ppl claim to have these crazy growth jumps within a week or two of taking it.

Also consider a topical sulfur oil. You can make your own or buy a premixed one either at your local BSS or online. IMO, I HATE the smell of sulfur so I buy premixed ones like Gro Aut Oil or Liquid Gold which mask the smell with other essential oils. Every time I made sulfur oil on my own, the smell of the sulfur was too strong for me to GHE with it.

I was so upset when i saw the chin hairs that i just couldnt deal with it anymore.Cry i threw them all out!! i know alot of women have them and only started noticing chin hairs on other women after i got my own.. sometimes i feel embarrassed and think when people look at me that is all they are seeing Cry

Biotin is part of the stress vitamin "complex".. Bvitamins must work as a UNIT .. if one of the members of the complex is higher, or used alone, there's some weird problems.  with biotin? it's increased sebum = acne.

I am extremely acne prone. And when i started taking biotin at least 200mcg, my face broke out in a "zit beard".. it was horrible.  It ranged from a acne rash to cystic acne w/ingrown hairs.  And when i popped the zit (especially the big ones), there was hell to pay afterwards with scarring.

Go out and buy a cheap brand of Bcomplex vitamins.  rest assured, you will find "biotin" in the complex.

Right now, i take 10,000 + mcg. a day with no problem.  but i also take Kirkland brand B100 complex to counteract the acne.  and it works.

i learned this trick from a forum member who knows her crap..

and yes, you must drink LOTS of water.. it's good for you anyway.Smile

I gave up on the biotin alone however i do take a vitamin bcomplex that has some biotin in it Wink.  that acne was too horrible to deal with.. Angry

Wow, I was wondering where this acne was coming from....
I thought it was because I went on vacation and left my Mary Kay at home, which resulted in me having to use regular soup on my faceConfused
