I don't agree with the lack of vegetables part.
Vegetables are a staple part of soul food.

Washing collards and snapping peas and picking out tomatoes.

But yeah the article has a point

Watching now... Goodness if I didn't have CHF I eat a plate of that pork and corn.

Oven fried chicken is just as good as oil.fried. One tablespoon of butter is enough. Herbs and spices go a long way to compensate for the odd or lacking taste of the genetically modified foods we have been reduced to. I ask God to bless it since I can't fix it and am taking steps to get a garden and grow my own .
