^^But you can't just "share" a child.  You got two groups that have different parenting styles, live in different states and such.  The child shouldn't be shuttled back and forth like that.

I'm w/ Spoken Word/NYC about the child being w/ the mother's side (if they are fit) because she was the victim...

was the cousin the god-mother by any chance? 

also, if a relative or close friend of mine was murdered by their child's father, i would not want the baby to go to his side of the family (unless mother's family cannot do it). i understand the parents are not responsible for his actions, but unfortunately, he did commit an act that took the mother away from the child. why should HIS family get the baby?

i hope the grandparents do get visitation but as far as full custody, i would lean towards the mother's side of the family FIRST unless they are unfit. if the cousin was raising the baby right, and she is legit and can care for the baby and provide her a stable, safe environment why not allow her?

the entire situation is unfair to the baby.
she has to be raised by someone who is not her parent b/c of a selfish action of her dad.

someone will end up upset.
and I'd feel some kind of way if my killers family.. was raising my child.. family or not.
which is something that will be taken into account...whether its said or not.

I think this statement is unfair. Surely the majority of parents don't raise their kids to become murderers or rapist. In the end  his parents couldn't entirely control the actions he would make as an adult...
