Women really are such prey. We have to start looking out for each other and training ourselves in self defense. Though this young lady wouldn't have had much of a chance, I feel if more women were prepared, armed, and trained, maybe so many attacks on women would be averted if men knew we could kick their asses. Maybe this is just wishful thinking, though (because the truth is that attacks on women will stop when we start raising our boys from infancy to honor and respect their female counterparts...but you know...baby steps)
Every day when I go running in the park I wonder if someone is watching me and learning my schedule. Come to find out, a guy who lives in a nearby house saw me running one day and asked if he could join me. He said that he sees me run all the time, and even recounted the miles that I do.
That made me really uncomfortable. Though he may not have meant any harm, it was jarring to know that this guy recognized me and learned my routine.
Ladies, please be careful. Guess we have to be 'handmaids' and walk in pairs now. SHM.
