yes. i dont wear it but ive bought to experiment with it and i always clarify then use silicon mix on it.

After washing, that sealant that they use washes off and the hair is more prone to tangling/matting, etc. Are you speaking of shampooing it before the install?  I wouldn't recommend that for BSS hair.

whenever i  washed BSS hair,it was a wrap.The swelling started,tangles etc...

when i wore outre velvet remy 
i washed it every 3 weeks and i had no problems 
i used to roller wrap that hair and all

the only thing i didnt like is that it swelled a bit 
but nothing a flat iron or blow dryer couldnt cure

I agree, you should but I would suggest using a gentle shampoo/conditioner combo. I've seen some ppl wash BSS hair and after they wash and dry it tangles really bad for the next few days. I usually use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner and I have never had a problem.
