Haitians use ziti instead of elbow macaroni. Some of us add ham, bell peppers and onions. We also make a bechamell sauce instead of just cheddar.
it just depends who makes it....I've seen it made so many different ways...

Haitian...never American...the only American Mac n cheese I've gotten from the adults in my life was boxed ...I'm not find of it any way real or boxed

I'm excited! It's the first year my family will be traveling to have Thanksgiving with me since I moved here:
Turkey
Ham
Fried Black Bass
Green Beans and Potatoes
My SIL Jesus inspired Mac and Cheese (that ish taste heavenly)
Cornbread stuffing (we use the gizzards as well.  My mother also adds a can of tomato paste)
Potato Salad
Cole Slaw (for the fish)
Cranberry Sauce
Gravy

Dessert
Peach Cobbler
Sweet Potato Pie
Sweet Potato Cheese Cake

We will probably have Peach Ciroc, 1800 Coconut and Red Stag.
