I've had that problem most of my adult life. The best thing to do is get your pants tailored or taken in in the waist. My (budget) tailor charges me $12.00-$25.00 an item. Since I've been paying him a small fortune I've learned to do it myself by copying what he's done. It's hard to post pictures here but I make two small alterations to the back of my pants or skirt.
Here's a video explaining the technique. Right now I'm doing it by hand until I buy a sewing machine.

Now that my waist is getting smaller (and my hips staying the same), I have a hard time finding clothes that fit nice. Anything that fits my hips is too big on the waste and makes it look bulky. What do you ladies wear? any specific brands that cater to curvy women (not plus size)? Thx! |
A belt. :/ I buy poor people clothes, and those are hard to find for curvy people. I'm considering trying to learn to alter my clothes to fit my body better... My waist is only getting smaller, and my booty is starting to get larger, so I think soon alterations are really going to be my only option. Because I really like my clothes and don't want to be limited to certain brands.

Marshalls and TJMaxx might still be selling a brand called "Angel" jeans, they have good stretch. Levis has some "legging" jeans that have some give also. American Apparel has these extra cute highwaist jeans (Easy Jeans) for under $100 but price wise Macy's is a good place to check if your in the US. Your best bet is to try on everything and see what works for you.

I have the same problem, just had to go out and buy a new belt cause I got to the smallest hole on mine
I've had a lot of luck at Express, I live in their skinny jeans and jeggings! Their jeans are hella expensive but so worth it because they last for years, a lot of them are cotton/spandex blends so you get that stretch that fits the hips and the waist without gaps or muffin tops lol. Plus they forever send out coupons like $15 off $30, $25 off $75, etc.

great tips ladies. I'll have to invest into cute belts. Adding a buttonhole sounds perfect, what about jeans though? Yumyum I am talking Marshalls....for now, LOL. Ashley, Sort of. It is veryyyy slow and not as dramatic as some other people, but working for me. I went from 30 1/5 in (March) to 28in right now. I jus wear my squeem 5 days a week, from 6 am to pm. That's it. I have a corset but rarely wear it (I am not able to hide it under my clothes). MsLaydii, smaller sizes look weird on my hips. too tight.

I personally like the booty gap in pants where you can tell the azz was so big they had to go up a size Are you talking Marshall's or Neiman Marcus?
