it does if you follow it exactly as Teri does in the TC method. But when it dries the whiteness goes away. she actually advocates that you apply it till it squeezes out white. here's a pic of what my hair looks like when i do the conditioner method:

Hmmn......You like your curls wet better than dry. Have you tried reading the Curly Girl Method?

^I think it depends on how you apply it and what conditioner you use.

When I apply it in the shower, and lightly rinse (You can shake your hair out here if you want) I'm okay, no flakes.

When I apply conditioner after I get out the shower on wet hair...hot mess.LOL

The conditioner doesn't leave any residue or show up white when dry?

i do the same. now i am more twistout method because i wear my hair in PS's but when i wanna wear my hair out and down long term i subscribe to TC. it works like a charm. me encanta!

I've managed to loosen up the curl a smidge doing yogurt/sour cream treatments, so when it's wet it does look more 4a maybe even 3c.

You basically put in a crap load of cheap conditioner in your hair after you wash it andd leave it in and brush it through in sections with a denman brush and it will really weigh your curls down so they hang as if it were wet. I use this method myself because my hair is very prone to shrinkage and tangling and this really helps cut down on that.
