Most MD contracts have a clause to hire local residents only. The percentage varies based on the size and impact of the project.
On the traffic issue, it will only be like that for a couple months after opening in my opinion. That's what happened with hollywood and Maryland live. I don't even remember they exist most days. O

I think they will add table games to Maryland Live now (Arundel Mills - Hanover, MD)
I am happy about that even though I don't gamble

i agree the traffic will be insane but hopefully the money will also accomodate work to expand the roads. they've already made some improvements on expanding the highways around the bridge.
