I remember seeing her real hair when Destiny's Child first came out but weren't big yet. They were performing on Teen Summit and it was her real hair. It was long about BSL and straight. She had a relaxer and she wore her real hair when DC was in Jagged Edge's video..forget the name of the song, but that was her real hair, permed and it got wet and everything in the video.
I think her natural texture is like 3c/4a like someone else said. I think in the beginning of her career because she was wearing and styling her own hair, it got damaged and that is when she cut it and started rocking braids and weaves.

That photo isn't that old. And if I remember correctly, it surfaced not
long after she claimed to be done with flw's. I'm not knocking as I
would imagine being in her position, the idea of daily heat styling etc
on her hair would be a very unrealistic thing.

There's like one picture of B with short SL hair. I believe that was her actual hair. Otherwise, she's the LF queen so yes I hope her hair would always look good. :)
