The few times that I got the pulp of aloe vera, straight from its leaf, mixed with a bit of water to beat it on a blender, and did an AVJ rinse, my hair was super shiny and gorgeous.
I need to try it again.

I think the pH is too high, youd have to dilute it. I'm not sure if the goal is moisture or cuticle sealing/smoothing, but for cuticle sealing/smoothing id stick with ACV rinses.

I mix it with honey and oils and use it to condition my hair before I wash. I let it sit for 30 mins, rinse it out, then wash with sm or t. mud. My hair is really soft and moisturized. I've been doing this since Nov 2011 once a week.

i think it best to rinse it out, it has plenty of benefits, to me more than acv rinse
