I did this some time ago using Indian hair.

I did this a while back, I created a thread labeled I got new hair. I boiled a closure I got from Roman to make it blend with some deep curly hair I obtained from another CV. It worked great, bascially the same as boiling weaving hair.

I will definitely be using this method on a future weave for some cute voluminous curls! I'm trying to achieve a Teyana Taylor look.
 
The curls on her weaves are FIRE! But must cost a fortune to buy/process. Heat and water are my new friends!
