True , I thought that whole "black people don't get nits " thing was true but then I remember I had a friend who had to shave all her hair off when she was like 6! All lice like is a warm environment and access to blood - I don't really think it matters too much . I think if you perm or use relaxers regularly then they wouldn't be able to live in their but then again some say even perioxide bleach doesn't remove it .

I agree, but some think its a price to pay for good hair. BTW anyone mention the fact that lice hate dirty oily hair?

I like me some steam processed yaki/kinky hurrr....

All I know is regardless of what they tell you most weave is washed in a silicone based shampoo that's why it feels so soft - those chemicals would strip the life out of the hair and it would get all , I don't know -frazzled . People pay good money for hair and when I do I don't want to see bugs - I mean people are saying " if you buy virgin hair you have to deal with the fact that traces of it's past owner (living in slums ) may be there , that's stupid I eat beef but I don't want my steak smelling like a farm . Plus these sellers don't give a **** about us, if you ask for a refund they'll just ignore you . I swear my most recent experience could put me of virgin hair for life . Anyway this talk about lice is making me itch

I see, I just figured if it's safe enuff for kids, it would be fine to sanitise the hair with it before a deep condition and oil treatment, besides its designed to only penetrate the shaft of the hair and treat the scalp so its not hitting core of hair shaft....can anyone correct me, because that seems logical to me..

So im a weave newbie and just received hair with NITS in it - Oh and not just nits the dead lice too !! So there way no way i was wearing it , i told the vendor HOTBEAUTYHAIR and they told me that i couldnt have a refund because id opened one of the bundles . They told me theyd send me an exchange and  i thought that the whole nit thing was a one off - plus the lady said shed check the hair expecially for me . The hair came and ALL FOUR  bundles where full of lice and eggs and it STUNK  . Im so grossed out by virgin hair now i think i might just have to purchase processed remy .

Plus isnt this a health risk?! Tell me if im wrong , but since lice live of human blood ... and most of these hair donors live in diseased slums couldnt a lice that was on their head that hatches on yous  and then takes your blood cause disease transmission ? You know- like Mosquitoes do with Malaria ? Either way i dont think im going to risk it .. that new bundle of hair came today , i saw the lice and the SMELL tied it up in a bag straight away  and chucked it under my bed . Im not too sure what to do with it since the company is unapologetic and wont give me a refund . Im beyond the stage of grossed out .
